The title says is all. THAT boys is more like it. Not only was the game a well-deserved victory and timely morale boost but it marked the competitive return of 'Crazy' Jens Lehmann. Wooooooooooooo.
That performance marked what we had been lacking and searching for in the past couple of weeks. Now we've found it, I hope we won't misplace it again. We should have won about 8-0 the amount of chances we had but 3-1 was a very very good ressult. The first two goals in particular were excellent and it makes me smile to see Emmanuel Eboue lashing one in. He's such an amazing cheerleader when he's on the bench that he thoroughly deserves his own happy little moment. I would like to point out also that 'crazy' jens should NOT have been sent off contrary to what sky would have you believe. Why I hear you ask? It wasn't denial of a goalscoring opportunity as they went on to score straight afterwards. Thus no red card. Which brings me to the main man himself. Jens. What a guy. He put in a classy, assured performance and it was amazing to see him back between the sticks. It was great to see him taking control and yelling and pointing away and not once did I feel nervous when he came forward in his penalty area or slid out. Everyone clearly loves having him around too. The post match love in between him and Robin van Persie was adorable and also gave us the wonderful image of Robin the substitute goalie. (watch it for yourself, at the end, to see how cute they are) Both of them displayed an absolutley fantastic attitude, Jens in saying that no matter what happens now he's happy as we won the game. And Robin in his lovely generous gesture of giving him the Man of the match champagne. I also learned more about Arsenal's heartwarming team solidarity this weekend. From twitter. Cesc Fabregas tweeted on saturday that he was going to watch 'Rush Hour' with Tomas Rosicky to prepare for the match. Awwww, a boy date! Then after the match he tweeted to Bacary Sagna "Bacy Bacy come back soon we miss you" they're all too cute for words.
