A Five Star performance

I think Saturday's game may be the one of the best game i've seen in quite a while. Complete and utter madness but a brilliant game nonetheless. At the end of the first half it seemed like it was going to follow a familiar pattern with us having enjoyed arguably the better chances of the game then falling behind to a goal we should be able to defend better. But then the second half happened. The crazy happened.
During the first half Andre Santos had had a rough game (well when we could spot him!) but suddenly for our second goal Bosingwa inexplicably wandered into the middle of the pitch leaving a gaping space down the wing, in wandered (Where's) Andre and boom goal. Suddenly his game took a level in badass and he had an immense second half, from being beaten for pace he was suddenly outmuscling his opposite number and winning the ball back time and again. Theo Walcott had an out of character day somehow exceeding his quota of one good cross per game and his goal was very impressive. I wish he played like that all the time. Gervinho was excellent, his pace and movement impress me more every time I see him. The fighting spirit the whole team had to just keep coming back time after time was brilliant to see after the lack of confidence lately, the boy Chesney almost took this fighting spirit too far when he came charging out of his goal like crazy Jens in his prime and took out Cashley Cole but luckily it wasn't a red. Largely I think because it wasn't a goal scoring chance as the ball had gone and he wasn't the last man. I was terrified injustice was lurking when Lukaku blatantly blocked off Andre Santos in the build up to their goal but got off scot free. But our boys weren't done, not by a long shot. Our fourth goal was brilliant, a fantastic moment to cheer any heart. A terribly misjudged backpass by Florent Malouda has John Terry running backwards but RvP is closing him down and he's off balance, then beautifully, poetically he falls down, on his face. Robin is off, galloping away like a dutch gazelle, hands flopping away and he's skipping past Cech like he isn't there to stroke the ball home. Me, my Dad and my grandad are all on our feet, we can't believe it. But there's more. Tomas Rosicky wins the ball in defence, we're all urging him on, he brings it to the halfway line, we're willing him on with every fibre, he plays a beautiful pass, it passed through to Robin by now on a hattrick and he blasts it past Cech. Pandemonium. Its a fabulous moment. there are even boy-tastic pile on celebrations. The final whistle goes and I'm running up and down the room over and over. I have a little dance. I laugh as Theo and the boy Chesney inexplicably do press ups in front of the away fans. What a game. What a result. Hopefully this will be an even bigger kickstart to their burgeoning confidence, THIS is where we should have been, THIS is what we've deserved. Well done guys.
